Western diplomacy is continuing calls for Kosovo and Serbia to engage in restoring calm in Serb-run northern municipalities -- Zveqan, Zubin Potok and Leposaviq -- where on Sunday the lowest number of Serbian citizens gathered in front of municipal buildings to oppose entry into Albanian mayors' offices in their offices.
US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel EscobarI and the European Union for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak are expected to visit Kosovo and Serbia next week.
Their visit is aimed at reducing tensions in the country's north and continuing to work on implementing the agreement leading to normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations. The European Union has already set forth three requirements for Kosovo: holding new local elections, securing the participation of Kosovo Serbs and starting work on establishing association.
