Leader of The PDK said the first Regional Convention of Platform “Basca! 50/50” will go on through all regions of Kosovo, until the full implementation of its mission and the Democratic Party of Kosovo for empowering the voice and role of women, as well as gender equality in every sphere of society.
“The PDK is open, without doors and walls, for women who want commitment and practice in politics. We will make it a binding rate for all party structures, at each level of organisation, to have equal division of leadership positions, so 50/50, including the positions of the mayors, vice heads and secretarys. This goal of gender equality in decision-making will be lived inside The PDK, with the PDK in government, will live everywhere in Kosovo”, the chairman said. Memli Krasniqi's PDK.
The director of the National Democratic Institute, Nancy Soderberg, has also praised PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi for his decision and mission for gender equality in structures and decision making.
She said the PDK is setting a new standard for all of Kosovo.
Even the mayor of Prizren, Shacir Totaj, who also leads the PDK branch in this city, said President Memli Krasniqi's decision is being welcomed in all of the party's instances as he stressed that the state of empowering the woman's role is advancing even in decision-making institutions.
