America proclaims “Non-Grata” Struga municipality chairman

In the State Department's announcement, the head of the Struga municipality reportedly abused funds and intervened in judicial processes and other public processes, damaging public confidence in the democratic institutions of Northern Macedonia.
Today's action - further states - sends the message that the United States stands by northern Macedonia to promote stability through strengthening democratic institutions and dealing with shortcomings related to rule of law.
“This definition reaffirms the United States' commitment to fighting corruption, which undermines public interest, prevents the country's economic prosperity and diminishs the ability of governments to effectively respond to the needs of their people”, the US State Department report concludes.
