According to official figures, our country has reduced imports of products from Kosovo in the past four months, which shows Kosovo's trade dependence on our products.
Economics expert Linda Shala and board member of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce Skender Krasniqi have commented on the impact that there will be an annulment of the joint meeting between Albania and Kosovo.
Shala in her address has stressed that she hopes the political situation will be resolved as soon as it has a major impact on Kosovo's economic development.
Kosovo's “Eonomia is very fragile and dependent on donations that make the EU more ready, worrying and painful, and what is most comforting is that such a thing is temporary.
What is problematic is that the political agenda is dominates economic development after 15 years of independent state. The complicated political situation has shifted the economic agenda, due to political agenda. Kosovo co-operation- Albania is a natural co-operation and because of the agreements we have signed we will not have many problems just a few technical problems. I don't doubt Albania and Kosovo's relations will waver. We do not have legislative barriers, but we lack the political will to establish political co-operation between the two countries. In this situation is Kosovo that can be lost and why business can find its way, as what motivates it is proximity, the market. The important is joint integration, as a major market will be more attractive for Kosovo and Albania”, Shala has said.
Krasniqi, on the other hand, has indicated that the consequences will be imposed by both sides, as in his opinion there will be both Tirana and Pristina.
Among other things concerning the annulment of the joint meeting between the two governments, he has stressed that the impact will not be real, but that what will be affected will be the implementation of agreements that have been signed.
The “is Tirana's biggest loss since it exports more to Kosovo and I believe that the meeting of governments will not affect co-operation relations between countries. We import more from Serbia, but already in the first place has Turkey and not the German that has been so far, but in that case Albania loses as well, as with policy change, import will also increase in Kosovo. If we are to do another brotherly co-operation, it will help us to reduce import from Serbia and boost co-operation between the two countries.
There will be no real order, but what will have impact is the integration of the agreements that have been signed. That is because the structure that had to be established for the integration of these agreements is lacking”, Krasniqi has indicated. / ABC.al
