Vuciq: There is waiting for Serbia to hand over Kosovo “to plate”

Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said Friday at a meeting of his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Pancevo, near Belgrade, that it is expected that Serbia will hand over Kosovo “to plate”. “Do whatever you want, whether outside or inside, here in the state, I will not let Serbia be destroyed, and I will not [...]
“Do whatever you want, whether outside or inside, here in the state, I will not allow Serbia to be destroyed, and there will be no independent Kosovo”, Vuciq said.
His party march in Pancevo is being held at the same time as Serbia's “protest against violence”, which is being held in Belgrade.
The reason for organising the protest in Belgrade is frustration with the authorities' response, following two mass killings that took place in Serbia in May, in which 18 people were killed.
Vuciq has said he will not allow governance to be changed by force, under the influence of others, nor to implement policies against Serbia's interests.
He has said he will never serve “ ” to foreigners.
They will not lead Serbia's foreign policy. They won't decide for me who to sanction, people will decide, they won't decide for me whether Serbia will join NATO, people will decide”, Vuciq said.
He has invited citizens to go to Belgrade for a planned march by his next day party.
All in Belgrade. It will go to Belgrade from every city, if necessary even on foot”, he has said.
“No setback, no surrender, we'll guard our state”, he added.
Kosovo has declared independence in 2008 and is recognised by over 100 countries in the world.
Kosovo and Serbia have launched negotiations on normalising relations in 2011, under European Union mediation.
In February of this year, they have reached agreement on normalisation of relations, and in March on the annex of its implementation.
The 11-mother agreement, made public on February 27th, does not force Serbia to recognise Kosovo, but requires both countries to accept each other's documents and symbols, including passports, diplomas and license plates.
