Gazmend Hoxha new director of the Kosovo Police: Government Votes His Name

The Kosovo government has voted without a single vote against Gazmend Hoxha for the position of Kosovo Police Director.

At the government meeting, Deputy Interior Minister Bardhil Dobra proposed Hodza for the position.

“In the announced competition, five candidates have already applied to the narrow list. After the professional assessment, the interior minister has been recommended to three candidates: Gazmend Hoxha, Granit Fetah, Bahri Shala MPB in accordance with the law, proposes to the government, Mr. Gazmend Hoxha. In view of police activity and its duties, I ask for your approval of the candidate for the position of police director”, he said, Periscopi is watching.

The government then voted Hoxha's name for Police Director.

Who's Gazmend Hoxha

Gazmend Hoxha has long held a high position in the Kosovo Police. Hoxha is director of the Department of Operations and simultaneously one of the police officials often praised within the framework of this institution.

Many years ago, when MPB minister was the late Bajram Rexhepi, Hoxha was appointed to the Supreme Agent of the Kosovo Police Director General for Investigations, from the position of the Task Agent, head of the Department Against Organised Crime.

Since August 2022, Kosovo police have been without a director following former KP director Samedin Mehmeti's resignation.
