Mehmeti, chairman of the KPM Board, has said today that he has accepted a confirmation by Premier League on two companies that possess the rights to broadcast the league on Kosovo territory.
“We have received a letter from Premier League, which points out that Premier League has given them the rights of league transmission in Kosovo for two companies: Arena and Digitalb. And that means that the only possibility for Kosovo citizens to see Premier League is through our licensed platforms that come in agreement with one of these two companies that have the right to broadcast Premier League”, Mehmeti said.
The chairman of the KPM Board has said that in his presence with Premier League, he has asked the English elite football league association about the possibility of Premier League broadcasting rights being bought by a Kosovo company.
“We are interested in knowing on what basis these rights have been given to these two companies, which are not licensed in Kosovo and what we should do for Kosovo companies, as does the public operator Telekom, to be able to buy transmission rights”, Mehmeti has said.
