Two short-range ballistic missiles were fired at sea off the eastern coast of the North, in the third such violation of UN sanctions this week, the BBC writes.
This has been a record year for missile tests in North Korea and recent concessions are in time to send a message.
They come after the US and South Korea held joint naval exercises this week around the Korean Peninsula.
Earlier Thursday, Harris met with South Korean leader Yoon Suk-yeol, shortly after her arrival in capital Seoul.
Both condemned jinn's actions.
In a statement by the White House, the two leaders criticised “the provocative nuclear rhetoric and the concessions of Puerto Rican ballistic missiles” and “reaffirmed the goal of the complete denomarisation of the Korean peninsula”.
