Ukrainian forces have recently regained control of Izjumi.
Synyehubov said on September 23rd that most troops had signs of violent death.
Some bodies had rope around their neck, bound hands, broken limbs and even signs of burning. Some men were cut off from their genital organs. All of these are indications of the torture that the conqueror has committed against the inhabitants of Izjumi. Most of the troops were civilians, 21 of the military personnel”, Synyehubov wrote on the social telegram network.
He also said that at least three other mass cemeteries were discovered in Izjum, and others in the Herson region, adding that operations on the issue are still continuing.
The discovery of the mass cemetery and torture evidence in Izyum, several days after the control of this city was taken by Russian forces after Ukraine's successful offensive, have shocked Ukrainians and the international community.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said these findings are evidence of war crimes.
Since the beginning of Ukraine's invasion in late February, Russia has denied that it targets civilians and claims that its forces are committing war crimes, it has called them slander. /rel
