Police launch investigation into north balloting where signs were used

During the day, several ballot papers were reported by Serb majority municipalities in the north, where unusual signs such as “=”, “%” and other symbols have been noted for which allegations have been raised that they may have been met in a controlled manner.
The Constitutional Prosecution has been declared on this issue, where Kosovo Police are said to have been authorized for collecting and gathering relevant information if there is any element of the criminal act in this case.
“confirm that the State Prosecutor has been notified by the Department of Criminals on this criminal case. By order of the State Prosecutor, Kosovo Police have been authorised to collect and gather relevant information if there is any element of the criminal act in connection with this case”, the prosecution's provisions said.
Some irregularities in the north have been recorded, allegedly having been met by a single hand, as similarities have been observed in signatures and in the way they are met.
According to the same sources, it is expected to be seen whether the Election Panel for Ances and Paraseta (PZAP) will decide on opening security cameras at polling stations, with the goal of verifying allegations raised during the election process.
