Begaj welcomes Kosovo authorities for the maturity shown, that in co-operation and close co-ordination with international partners avoided a serious provocation for Kosovo stability, particularly in this situation charged with major and increased threats and risks to peace and security for our region after Russian aggression in Ukraine.
“Kosovo is currently an irreversible political reality, contributing to peace and stability in the region and confirmed not only by over half of the United Nations member states that have recognised it, but also by the International Court of Justice in The Hague 11 years ago, the head of state said, referring to Kosovo's membership in international organisations.
The statements, Begaj made during a meeting with Spain's prime minister, Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Casteyón, who is on an official visit to Albania. /tch/
