Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, together with Interior Minister Jelal Svecla, has received KFROR's commander, Major General Ferenc Kayari, from office.
According to the prime minister's office, Kayari has praised the Kosovo Police for bringing the first week to the north. “The Government's co-operation with KFOR was the main theme of the” meeting
“The close co-operation between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the NATO peacekeeping forces in Kosovo (KFOR), within their mandates, was at the centre of the meeting between the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the commander of NATO peacekeeping forces in Kosovo (KFOR), Major General Ferenc Cajári”, the ZKM has announced.
At the meeting, the ZKM says that “reiterated KFOR's importance in ensuring peace and security in the Republic of Kosovo, which is the goal and common priority of institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and KFOR”.
“Prime Minister Kurti stressed the necessity of conveying clear messages for the actions of criminal structures in the north of the Republic of Kosovo, which seriously violate security in the country”, the Office of the Prime Minister says.
At the joint meeting with Interior Minister Jelal Svecla, Kurti reportedly expressed readiness of the Government and other domestic institutions for co-operation. On the other hand, according to ZKM, Kayari described co-operation as good.
KFOR's <x0mandant thanked Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Svecla for the good co-operation between the Government, the Kosovo Police and KFOR, while commending police officers for professional behaviour regarding events in the north of the Republic of Kosovo”, the report said.
“Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Svecla posted the professionalism and courage of our security and order bodies, Kosovo Police, respectively, in maintaining our public order and security”, the ZKM reported.
