Energy supply for Kosovo, Albanian corporations speak: We have a deposit agreement.

Currently, the demand for consumption in Kosovo is up to 750 megawatts per day, while production is about 507 megawatts.
This assistance was provided under the energy deposit agreement Albania has with Kosovo, so that in emergency moments they can help each other. And even at times when each country produces more than is the demand for consumption, it stores excess on the network. In respect of this agreement, KESH explains for Report TV that due to emergency energy conditions in Kosovo, today an amount of energy has been given to prevent power cuts, as there has been production. While in the days Kosovo has had high production from TECs it has stored up in the network helping Albania.
As for the coming days, Kosovo's Finance Ministry stresses that they are working to guarantee electricity to consumers. Because of the global energy crisis, Kosovo made the decision to cut off the lights on specific pages of hours when production could not meet demand.
Albania donated energy to Kosovo even on the eve of changing years, with 7,680 megawatts for December 31st, 2021 and January 1, 2022, with the understanding that this amount would be returned to the country during the summer period when it is drought. This is because Kosovo is producing mainly from Thermocentrals and only 6% from other sources, and has continued production even in summer, but this year three TECs have been in Remont, while Albania has the best level of production in winter because of the rainfall, since our production is mostly hydrant through the HECs.
