Arifi for the Government of Kosovo: It's stupid what Kosovo is doing with Serbia

Presevo Mayor Shqim Arifi has spoken of the Albanian National Council, where, according to him, it is an invention of Serbia and according to him, it is a disaster the Republic of Kosovo sees as a solution. The Albanian National Council is a Serbian invention. Serbia has established this, not us. The council does not have executive rights [...]

The Albanian National Council is a Serbian invention. Serbia has established this, not us. The council has no executive rights, only legislative rights. It only handles four fields. This is designed a cripple to fail me. It is unfortunate that the National Council is seen as a solution. To me, it's a total bullshit what Kosovo and Albania are doing in relation to Serbia, for me it's a total madness and they don't have any logic. Internationals laugh at us. And Serbia is currently knowing how to design its policy approach in northern Kosovo” has said in an interview for the Insander Journal.

In this interview, Arifi has criticised the Kosovo and Albanian government for failing to support Albanians living in the Presevo Valley. In an interview for Gazeta Insander his criticisms have been severe with the government Kurti and the policies this government is pursuing for the welfare of the Valley Albanians.

Kosovo had promised 2m euros for the Presevo Valley, but has not yet executed them. Arifi says that not sharing these tools is damaging much to the projects that are prepared there and that it is designed to be financed by these tools.

He blames the man close to Albin Kurti, Minister Lieburn Aliu who is involved in not giving these tools. According to him, this is happening because of family ties with former Presevo Mayor Ardita Sinani. Arifi says he cannot be controlled by Qavia Kurti claiming the former mayor has been checked.

Nothing, De Fact. De facto we have what we expect at the meetings to take pictures. Not even the money they promised us yet. And this is from Lieburn Aliu who is influential in the government Kurti don't charge the money Kosovo citizens have decided to send 2m euros to Presevo. Our three projects planned by these vehicles have stopped. Three projects required by our citizens”, Arifi said.

Even according to him, Prime Minister Kurti himself does not know what the situation of the Albanians in the Valley is like.

Very few people know the real situation of Albanians in the Valley, not even Prime Minister Kurti. Let's not help anything, but they don't even know what we're experiencing here. It's total disaster”, he said.

Arifi's fiercest criticisms were linked to the last case involving a few hearths in the Valley and received no calls from the two governments.

He says it is a disaster what the Valley Albanians are experiencing, and they have no support from Kosovo and Albania.

The complete interview of Arif's speech given to Gazeta Insander:

Insander: Have you criticised the Kosovo government and Albania for its silence and no support from the Presevo Albanians following the fire involvement of several sites there?

Arifi pronunciation: Such neglect, which is done in the situation when the lives of our citizens here in the Presevo Valley, made it meaningless not to respond to a call or a call interest in our country. It's a disaster our country's been going through for years. It is a pity to see that the Republic of Albania has allocated 1m euros from its budget for Ukraine, but I can see whether a war should happen here and now come back.

Insander: And the Republic of Kosovo has reacted?

Arifi pronunciation: Now in the context of fires, Kosovo like Albania has no reaction. I'm a tracking strategy and I don't see any strategy from these two countries towards the Presevo Valley. That's painful.

Insander: Your choice has come through the Communist Assembly. Before you was a chief who met Albin Kurti and wanted to help me, did this fact have to do with the fact that leaving someone has favoured Albin Kurti?

Arifi pronunciation: Other governments have been more cautious not to imply subjectivity or emotional state toward a certain person here. In this context the government Kurti has wanted for reasons that it's listed after a voice that in political parties is third or fourth in a row normally as I see it the lady has been controlled and I'm not controlled, she's known, I say my opinion what is it that's the reason why they're lined up after her and that family connection that Lieburn Ali has that condition at once is a disaster for Kosovo.

Insander: You, as Albanians in the Valley, do you think you are divided in relation to Kosovo?

Arifi pronunciation: When it comes to national matters, we are not divided, we are united. You are more divided in Kosovo and Albania than we are in Presevo. We're divided here at the local level. It's a struggle that reasons with the political transition.

Insander: It's not helping you in the case of fires, it's not helping you in the event of your trip, what is Kosovo and Albania helping you?

Arifi pronunciation: Nothing, De Fasto. Three projects much sought by our citizens

Very few people know the real situation of Albanians in the Valley, nor does Prime Minister Kurti. Let's not help anything, but they don't even know what we're experiencing here. It's total disaster.

Insander: Do you have any way to convince the Kosovo government to help you?

Arifi pronunciation: My job is to work and defend the government and get us into the dialogue agenda and leave us there until the end of the dialogue. I'm critical here as I see direction. When talking about reciprocity, Serbia's flag in northern Kosovo would have to be banned as we have the Kosovo flag banned.

And Serbia is precisely knowing to design its approach to politics in northern Kosovo.
