Victory Pacolli deepens the recent publication scandal: EP resolution does not require measures against media from Government, Parliament

Had it not been enough scandalous speech in the Kosovo Assembly, Victory Pacolli has deepened it further, writes Periscopi. In the last post in her Facebook account, the VV deputy has published the European Parliament Resolution for Kosovo, where she has received only one point of this resolution, where she thus says the following:
“38. Notes that the media landscape has been distorted in recent years, with large-scale investments leading to increased private sector influence on major media and online media often used for commercial and political blackmail; re-exert the need to ensure media transparency, including media ownership; welcomes the appointment of the new public broadcaster board. RTK through a transparent and merit-based process; calls for finding a lasting solution to ensure RTK editorial independence;”
At no point, in the European Parliament's Resolution for Kosovo, it is not said that the Government or the Assembly of Kosovo should take action against the media, as deputy Pacolli claims.
Rather, the resolution SEVIZON that free media is one of the fundamental pillars of democracy and that journalists must be protected from political pressure. Also (in case she hasn't read all the provisions of Resolution MP Pacolli), the European Parliament DO YOU face political pressure to submit to and use strategic indictments against Public participation to intimidate them (which today VV deputy Victory Pacolli made.)
37. It underlines that free media is one of the fundamental pillars of democracy and that journalists should be protected from political pressure; it condemns the political pressure they are subjected to and the use of strategic indictments against public participation to intimidate them, which also leads to autocensour; it stresses that using the slander language to journalists is unacceptable; it warns against any statement that stigmatizes the media, especially from officials and public figures that should provide an example;
Otherwise, during today there have been numerous reactions to threats made by Pacolli in the Kosovo Assembly, among them the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, the Council of Written Media, and recently the SafeJournalists network, representing more than 8,200 media in the Western Balkan region.
