Security expert Bedri Elezi said 70 per cent of Kosovo Police senior superiors, prosecutors and judges do not wear seat belts.
He confirmed that the moment a Kosovo Police official forbids any of his superiors, the prosecutor or the judge is afraid and dare not take action because, according to him, they fear they will be punished in some form.
“We have done a research and about 70 percent of the top Kosovo Police superiors, prosecutors and judges do not decide safety belts. One of the facts that we've seen and we've seen that nobody at the moment when a Kosovo Police official stops him, we even have a lot of cops we've talked to and they're afraid to show that at the moment he stops saying that I'm a prosecutor and absolute no one... or especially the IPK, the people who are most opposed to traffic, and absolutely no cops dare take action because they will in a form be punished<1>, Elez said at Tev.
He further said the law should begin to differ from those who are paid by the taxes of citizens for law enforcement.
The point is that if we want to convince the citizen that there is law enforcement, we need to start with those who are paid by our taxes for law enforcement. And when we talk about these we need to start with the Kosovo Police, which is the first case of law enforcement, then the prosecution, which works on the basis of the findings made by police and the court which condemns them on the basis of those findings, said security expert.
Security expert Bedri Elez has also talked about recent attacks on Kosovo Police during stakes in fighting organised crime and smuggling in northern Kosovo.
Elez claimed that the situation in the north is serious because violent activities are constantly taking place.
“Situata in northern Mitrovica is serious about the fact that in the continuation, i.e. in a synchronized and organized manner, we have violent activities, whether of activities which directly have political issues or issues that push ahead the agendas of Serbia or its partners who are against peace and security in the region”, he said.
On the “shows, diari”, in Tv1, Elesi said attacks on Kosovo Police in the north are message from parallel structures.
<x0). The crime organised in that part is a direct approach to security structures, and in parallel with their intentions to do economic criminal acts is also aimed at sending the political message that parallel structures operate and are responsible in that area, and are by no means Kosovo police and are not recognised as security structures and do not respond, are trying to show that they do not respond to any course, no action of our 911 police, Elez said.
The recent attack on Kosovo Police has occurred yesterday where the truck smuggling goods, during the attempt to avoid police arrest and arrest, hits the police car several times, jeopardises the life of police officials directly and hurts five of them.
