It says: Merro Base

There is much debate on the harsh language of the three Western Balkan countries' common response to the European Union's failure to expand in the Balkans, but there is no doubt that and the reasons for the failure have to deal with the fact that the European Union is not ready to accept the Balkans.

The hope of European Union enlargement in the Balkans has now turned into a desperate conflict between the Balkans and the EU, which is essentially a conflict of confrontation between the identity of Europe and the identity of the Balkans.

This is evident in three of the European Union's failures in the Balkans.

The first, with no power to resolve a future conflict between northern Macedonia and Bulgaria, which came after a national North Macedonia industry with Greece, which forced it to change the name of the state, the streets, the airport, and the history texts. When Bulgaria saw that this worked, of course it took turns for the next humiliation.

The second is Europe's racist approach to the 2 million Kosovo Albanians, denying visa liberalisation. The European Union has liberalised visas and for Colombia or Ukraine, but does not make it for the 2 million citizens of Kosovo, and this with every manual interpreting it, is simply the display of racism against a population that has remained in the hands of racist European electoral policy plants.

It is a major paradox that the West, which released Kosovo by shelling Serbia to grant rights to its citizens, now isolates the citizens of the country for whose freedom was invested.

The third failure is the European response to the conflict in Ukraine itself. The way the European Union makes the accession of Ukraine and Moldova's candidacy as membership candidate countries, the same day it proves that it cannot solve a bilateral crisis in the Balkans, turns into a black mood the acceptance of their application, showing them more than the prospect of membership, awaits the hell of the bilateral conflicts within the EU, or, at the worst, racist behaviour it towards the isolation of Kosovo citizens.

In short, the European Union is not ready for either the Western Balkans or a European response to the conflict in Ukraine. More than the problems of the Balkans that are many, today's attitudes testify to the weakness and confusion of the European Union, which has no power to truly accept the Balkans within itself.

The process showed that the formal technical criteria given to the Balkan countries are not the ultimate criterion for accession. Practically Europe is resisting to defend its historic identity, face opening, and is not ready to face Balkan identity within it.

It is not true that any country that commits itself to respect the values of the European Union can become a member of it. It seems that the most important thing is that it is not written at the enlargement convention, where each member state must accept the Balkan identity of the candidates. This seems to be the essence of the obstacle to expansion.

The European reluctance to accept the Balkans has then exposed and the bitter language of Balkan leaders towards Europe, which seems to justify their reluctance to have these member states. And so the process goes towards ignorance.

In these conditions, Europe, should either become a protector of the Balkans by taking it under the armpit and dareing to be pushed to Ukraine, turning Europe's geographical concept into political concept, or preserving its historical identity and making clear the Balkans, but Ukraine, that they will have a partnership with Europe, but not a membership in it.

The best response to the conflict in Ukraine would be a bold Europe that stands for its political concept from Paris to Ukraine, but it seems to have failed.

The next option remains for the Balkans, but Ukraine, to be treated as European partners. As such, do not expect that the father will naturally develop European values and sustainable development.

Membership in the European Union is a national ideal of many of these countries, and this ideal was a great motive for being democratic and pro-Western countries. In the absence of this ideal, democratic instability, pro-Russian lines, and non-autocracy, today is a holiday.
