“On the Commission for Public Administration discussed the Bill on Government of the Republic of Kosovo. This draft law contains the structure and generally the content I delivered to the Government and Venice Commission. The week we're leaving behind was dynamic, but with visible results. I introduced two important anti-corruption laws that I led: The Bill on Prevention of Corruption and the Bill on Declaration and Bill on Protection and Control of Riches and Gifts.
And we discussed the Government Bill of the Republic of Kosovo on the Public Administration Commission. This draft law contains the structure and generally the content I delivered to the Government and Venice Commission. I applied for changes related to accountability and transparency in time, as well as the removal of the article that allows deputy ministers to vote at government meetings, as this is anti-binding.
New Framework Adjust completed! This regulation has failed for 10 years. The new regulation strengthens accountability to two levels: in relation to the functioning of the Parliament and its troops; and in increasing the accountability of independent institutions/agency against the Parliament.
Thanks to the support staff of the Parliament, civil society and the American Democratic Institute (NDI), Pristina's FES for their support in life of the Parliament's Labour Rule.
