Signals for unity and major Democratic Party reconciliation are being provided between Sali Berisha and Enkeleed Alibeaj. How possible is such reconciliation, and can it really be achieved? Establishing a Council of Wise to approach the parties and what to do with Berisha's DP and Alibeaj, but also with the group of MPs that are neither first nor second.
While there is an extreme position of two major parties in the DP, some signals for reconciliation have emerged on the horizon. Berisha has left behind the labels “Alibasa” and has acknowledged that negotiations are open with Enkeleed Alibeaj and Alibeaj himself have left behind the labels “the regime of Berisha's poisons” and has also found the negotiator.
This is the moment to say that both sides understand very clearly that only where there is a union is victory, and that without this union and great reconciliation, this party could not only lose the 2023 local elections, but risks until the breakup. But so far there is no union or reconciliation. The sides continue to officially call themselves hostile despite the apparent a bit of softness of speech, while the appearances of January 8th of this year are still not contained when the attack and protection of party headquarters turned into a physical arena in the ugliest event that has taken place on this political force since its founding on December 12, 1990.
On the one hand is Mr Berisha's party, which for the sake of truth shook the sleepy and confused party with the action “Voltore”.
From the centre at the base and from the centre to the centre was created for the first time after eight years in opposition a spirit that brought enthusiasm but that its political shares have stalled and that initial spirit has dropped to the landing. The peak was the last meeting of the parliamentary group, where “Enter” managed to have only 12 deputies in the hall from 52 who owns the parliamentary group. On the other hand is the official party with the commanded chairman Enkelady Alibeaj.
An admirable centre throughout this period, not only did he not confirm that he would slowly surrender but he has made opponents speak to himself. The fact is that Alibeaj is standing there as no one expected.
He has even created a profile many times more admirable than Lulzim Basha, who his secretary did not believe among many others.
He has set up a group of figures in the same style around him, and they have the only opposition to Alibeaj -- that former leader Lulzim Basha no longer return to the party's helm. However, this grouping should say that there is no support on the basis, and it cannot create a breath, it cannot even garner a majority vote, therefore at the polls it is destined to fail. Have you seen meetings in branches or cities?
Basha's typical style: A local village couple of angry men and women in the area share with “Their petteau” in these eight years, say a few words of anger, eat or drink anything around a corner table, and eventually make several selfies, which is more damaging to them than it shows they are happy in their grouping. But can each group act alone? Can each of these groups be called the true Democratic Party, the great party that creates spirit, unity and the main one brings the ruling Democratic Party? The odds are that if we continue in this way, style or behavior, with this date of this division and the style “emption that the road will join us”, The DP will be in a bald shave.
Even if the court is to make a decision against one another, it is unlikely that the desired but unfulfilled union will be reached. But how real are these efforts that we said earlier and can the DP really unite?
Enkeleed Alibeaj said on October 8th:
The DP is a subject and must issue a candidate. It takes unity of Democrats and citizens, we don't have the luxury of having other candidates in the race. Other movements at the opposition camp, for other candidates, do not serve the Democratic Party. The DP will enter 2023 local elections. Albanian citizens are eager to go to the polls. Society should express its will toward power. There is only one legal subject called PD, this legal subject I am leading will participate in the elections. ”
Sali Berisha said on October 12th:
We'll do anything for the full union of PD in all respects. We will do everything for the full union of the Albanian opposition, go to the elections with a candidate, and win the upcoming elections as we deserve it. I don't see why they don't join in the process. Everyone can attend except one. Guess what. It's alone, it's isolated. Treating the serious problem there.”
A Council of Wise Ones That Can Re reconciled Democratic Party
Despite all such efforts, you will be naive not to realize that the parties continue to be farther away. But what can be done in such a short time when elections are on the horizon, and the SP on the other hand has started engines?
What matters most is unity and real reconciliation, and this reconciliation can never be made by those who lead the grouping. Neither Sali Berisha nor Enkeleed Alibeaj are likely to reconcile themselves personally nor to make major reconciliation in the DP. What's most worth to this party is that it's time to set up a Council of Wises to concretely carry out this reconciliation.
It should include important and contributing figures in the DP, but provided they have no interest in political careers in this party. Some figures may be Mycerem Tafaj, Besnik Mustafaj, Albina Carramro, or others depending on the proposals that the parties may give. Of course, names can be chosen for the parties to prefer, and each list is relative.
But the important thing is that both sides have the will and the desire to make reconciliation. There are those who will then determine the modalities of the union, the conditions for each side, and the achievement of the major full reconciliation goal. I believe that the primary part in this process should be the interruption of all attacks on each side as declarative but also legal. Then the formula for achieving reconciliation must be found, which is sure to be provided by each side.
What should Berisha's restoration do?
First, a euphoria has started in the ranks of Sali Berisha's Democratic Party. How much credit do some MPs have that the DP re-registered by the loss in the 2021 parliamentary elections have that much of a responsibility has been caught in word rhetoric in self-junk and political actions. Euphoria and the arrogance observed in a young MP, but with an old mind, it is the biggest damage that grouping is doing. Follow carefully that seed is expressed on screens. They do not comment but seem to give talks. They give no idea but they repeat themselves in the same word but in new interpretations.
Well, it's nature and behavior, the PD can't go anywhere. Second, reconciliation with the Alibeaj group should be real, and to that end there must be attraction. Otherwise “type statements we don't need them”, “we win elections only”, “we beat the PS” are like fireworks thrown in Tirana by someone at 24.00. Happy his son's birthday, but waking up the entire neighborhood. So PD doesn't join. /Full text: Theme/
