She told Klan Kosovo that diplomatic sources have confirmed that it is not about blocking the process, but about some modalities that other states have been asked for lifting the visa regime.
“I have received the latest information from these states that have had a new demand regarding modalities for countries that will benefit from visa liberalisation. Official sources of the European Union have confirmed that it is not a deadlock or opposition to France and other countries for visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens”.
In principle, France and other EU countries favour liberalisation for Kosovo visas. Today, I was told by the Council of Ministers to be against visa liberalisation for Kosovars, but they have explained that misunderstanding is related to the modalities required by countries that will benefit in the future from visa liberalisation, including Kosovo, it has become clear to me that it is not about a modulation required only for Kosovo, but other states like Kuwait and Qatar”, Zyka has said.
