Explosion at the gas plant in Qatar, 18 missing and over 50 injured

Eighteen people resulted missing and more than 50 others were injured after an explosion at a key gas facility in Qatar, which was previously targeted by Iranian air strikes.
Authorities said a"axident technical"during initial operations in Industrial City Ras Laffan, the main site of liquid natural gas processing (LNG) in Qatar, led to an explosion and fire.
The explosion at the local gas supply facility at Barzan left 54 injured, while searching for 18 missing persons, according to Qatar's Interior Ministry.
The ministry said there was no threat to public security.
Otherwise, at the beginning of Iran's war in March, two of Qatar's LNG trains and one of its two fluid gas conversion plants were damaged in air strikes, Telegrafi reports, broadcast Periscope.
Qatar said it destroyed 17% of the country's export capacity, while repairs are expected to last up to five years.
Qatar Energy did not say whether the recent explosion caused any damage to the plant, which gasses the domestic market. /Periscope
