The SBASK has warned that if their demands are ignored, there will be union actions including strikes throughout the education system.
“Popovci's statement that the new wage law does not bring positive movement to the salaries, we hope to be only his statement, on the contrary, if indeed the working group of Minister Sefecla and Government Kurti are preparing such a law that solidifies existing wages without making the right moves in them, then let this certain law keep for themselves. The SBASK address will engage that through its representative at meetings with the dialogue team, I can present concrete proposals and that they will be observed and in the final version of this law. If this is ignored, then Minister Nagavci, this is neither blackmail nor threat, but alarm and warning in time that the SBASK will respect the voice and will of membership and that we will have union action by not excluding the general strike in the entire educational system”, it is said in response.
SBASK response:
SBASK- If current wage law solidos existing wages will strike
These days when educational workers and students are being challenged by the pandemic and are facing steady increase in the number of affected by Codweds they need support and words of enthusiasm from AugustI and the parents of opinion as a whole so that they can feel this support and continue in their mission of educating generations. Instead, however, Deputy Minister Dukagjin Pupovci is taking care to send stress messages that create tensions and mobilization for union action. Such a message came from Deputy Prime Minister Pupovci even recently when he dealt with the Law of Pays, stating that approval of this Law does not even mean raising salaries. He, even more than that, tries to create fear in those employed in education by declaring that there are more than 1,000 educational workers the state is withholding from work because they're allegedly overworked. This second statement reads as pressure that we were continuing to raise our voices with the legitimate demands of 1,000 and more educational workers will be thrown out of the street, but this leaping into the streets of people who have been working in education for decades is not the work done.
Pupovci's statement that the new wage law does not bring positive movement to the salaries, we hope to be only his statement, on the contrary, if indeed the working group of Minister Sfecla and government Kurti are preparing such a law that solidifies existing salaries without making the right moves in them, then let this kind of law be kept for themselves. The SBASK address will engage that through its representative at meetings with the dialogue team, I can present concrete proposals and that they will be observed and in the final version of this law. If this is ignored, then Minister Nagavci, this is neither blackmail nor threat, but alarm and warning in time that the SBASK will respect the voice and will of membership and that we will have union action by not excluding the general strike throughout the education system.
