Vjosa Osmani speaks in America about the reciprocity of the license plates: Also mention Princeton and how he had to remove the license plates himself

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is continuing her stay in the United States of America. During Friday, she attended a forum of discussion organised by Columbia University. There Osmani talked about various topics related to Kosovo, recently, even about launching the application of reciprocity measures for vehicle plates [...]
According to the chief of state, reciprocity is one of the most important principles in international relations. “Reciprocity in trade or other measures is one of the healthiest principles of international relations, especially if you have waited for ten years for the rest to remove barriers or block and cost the problem for any citizen who goes from Kosovo to Serbia”, she has said.
Osman, speaking about the matter, also related her experience of removing tables while traveling to Presevo.
The husband comes from Presevo Valley when he visits our family, before I became president, we had to remove the registration signs, and then the Serbian police would bring in other Serbian letters signs, which wrote that they were provising boards. Then when I gave him my ID, they would give me a letter - in a practical way, they wanted to strip their identity as soon as you entered their country. And of course you had to pay to get in. This was very difficult, even in technical asset, the waiting lines were long, and the economic aspect was difficult, because according to international organisations a truck to go from Kosovo to Serbia takes 33 times more than a truck to come from Serbia to Kosovo”, Osman added further. She said that move will be removed as Serbia acts similarly. Serbia has been doing this for ten years and no one has ever spoken out against it. So, of course, we will immediately remove these measures as Serbia will also do this”, she added further.
