Former Serbian diplomat: Vucinate hoped the U.S. would oppose Kurt, Russia sʹna defends in case of war

Former Serbian Ambassador of the former Yugoslavia to Great Britain Vladeta Jankoviq said that “Kosovo simply said, could do so when asked by Serbian news agency Beta, regarding the Kosovo Government's decision to implement reciprocity with Serbia on the issue of vehicle license plates. He declared today that an armed confrontation [...]
He declared today that an armed confrontation between Kosovo and Serbia cannot happen until NATO is in Kosovo.
He believes that it is possible that Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has hoped Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti by his actions would lead to attracting US support to Kosovo. He says it was the wrong estimate of the head of the Serbian state.
“very likely Vuciqi has hoped that Kurti's stubborn fanaticism would lead to the withdrawal of American support, but this is a completely wrong estimate, like the signing of comedy by the Washington Agreement and a number of other diplomatic exploits of Vuciqi. This example clearly shows the price of the dictatorship ruling in Serbia, as all those mistakes would be unimaginable if decisions were made by a freely elected parliament and government, rather than by a unstable man”, Jankovic said.
Asked to comment on Belgrade's reactions -- consciously by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq -- Jankovic said he is not clear what he meant by sending Russia's ambassador to the border with Kosovo.
If this means Russia will protect us if there is war, even the blindest people from Vuciqi will probably find it hard to swallow something like that. Among the unfortunate reactions, I include flying combat helicopters and aviation, which is a mere pre-election muscle story show and a new army degradation”, the former Serbian diplomat stressed.
