The head of the Albanian government has been to visit Democratic Party of Kosovo chairman Memli Krasniqi.
Krasniqi has thanked Prime Minister Rama and praised co-operation with the two countries as important.
Header The PDK has reiterated that they fully support the government's decision on license plates.
This is Memli Krasniqi's post:
Today I had the satisfaction of welcoming at the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom I wished for the third consecutive term as leader of the Government of Albania. Expressing thanks for Mr. Rama, in case of my choice at the helm of the PDK, expressed my and permanent will of the PDK to cultivate close and friendly reports with all the institutions of the Republic of Albania. The PDK values extremely important the deepening co-operation between our two countries, which we agreed on for the need to strengthen further the relationship and co-ordination that is needed between us. To that end, I consider that the joint gathering of the Kosovo government and that of Albania, as the format initiated by the PDK's rule period, should continue and expand the topics of common importance. During the meeting, we talked about the domestic political situation, the management of pandemic, as well as the recent developments in the country's north. The Kosovo government's decision on reciprocity with the license plates is considered fair and legitimate. But I expressed concern about Serbia's tendency to escalate the situation, with what I asked Albania to play an auxiliary role as a NATO member. Prime Minister Rama thanked him for his invitation to visit me to Tirana, which I will realise at the first possible moment.
