Kusari Lila claims that the failure of the resolution for M. of Washingon sömth unappreciated American role

The failure of the resolution to implement the Washington Agreement should not be seen as disregarding the role of the United States of America, says Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group chief Mimoza Kusari-Lila. Kusari-Lila says it is absurd for the Democratic League of Kosovo to ask the current government to implement this agreement, as it includes ʹmini-Seneneniʹ, which, days ago, was rejected by LDK leader Lumir Abdjiku.
“There have been some points that we even had when we were the opposition in the assembly wanted not to be part of any eventual agreement, points that were confirmed the world by the former prime minister himself, Avdullah Hoti, that they would not be part of. One of them is the émini-Shengeniı, or now renamed as Balkan Open, and others concerned partitioning Kosovo's resources in use with Serbia, as is the case of Ujman”, Kusari-Lila said.
On Friday, the Kosovo Assembly failed to adopt a resolution calling on the Kosovo government, led by Albin Kurti, to implement the Washington Agreement reached 4 September at the White House.
Kusari-Lila said Kurti Government remains committed to a strategic partnership with the US.
There are two context principles. The first is that in no way in any form does the rejection of this resolution today relate to the failure of the US role, the opposite. As the Parliamentary Group of the Vetevendosje Movement and the Government of Kosovo remain committed to a strategic partnership that is unique to Kosovo and its people with the United States of America. We will continue with co-operation in all spheres in particular even in relation to the dialogue process. The other principle is that Kosovo in the dialogue does not enter as a party which should consider that it should continue to make further compromises, but as two states to discuss a past, where Serbia was the aggressor and Kosovo victim”, Kusari-Lila said.
Washington's agreement was signed by then Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, in the presence of then US President Donald Trump.
Washington's agreement on normalising economic reports, among other things, envisions Kosovo and Serbia's commitment to building road and railway ties to connect their capitals in order to improve the movement of goods and people, developments that could attract Western investments. /rel/
