The process of regional co-operation among 6 Balkan countries -- Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Bosnia -- is part of the Berlin Process. The Berlin process, founded at the initiative of Chancellor Merkel, is based on four main columns, on free movement, free trade and investment, common labour market and digitalisation.

This process was further deepened at the Trieste Summit in 2017, where the prime ministers of six countries, including Kosovo, agreed to further develop this development in all four main columns.

These sentences will have to be repeated every time Eddie Rama's picture appears with Alexander Vuciq and Zoran Zaev, as we have to hear the same speculations, but with different tones.

This process, taking into account Balkan specifications, has created a flexible framework. All four principles are valid for all countries to co-operate with each other, but if individual countries have problems with each other they may not apply but should not prevent others.

Now each of these countries has specific problems with others. Kosovo has problems with Serbia, not diplomatic recognition, but has the largest volume of trade on top and the need for this process to co-operate with Serbia economically, as it tops the list of economic co-operation.

Montenegro has problems with the labour market with Serbia, but political problems of Serbia's intervention in Montenegro. Bosnia has the problem of being a non-functional state, as Bosniaks allow it to block Bosnian Serbs.

All of this has been taken into account by Europe and the US when they've supported this process, so the co-operation framework is free. If Kosovo applies these four principles to Albania, it practically joins Albania, after removing the border, uniting the labour market, creates freedom for investments, digitisation and other processes. It is not obliged to apply this to Serbia, as it has this freedom from the political framework of this process. With Serbia, let it apply when Serbia recognises it.

The Berlin process is the process established by Merkel and strongly supported by the European Union and the US. It is neither Balkan, Albanian nor Serbian invention. Kosovo's status in this refusal is not the same as Montenegro or Bosnia. Kosovo is a state that needs the US and the EU because it is a still unfinished state in the international arena. Kosovo does not have the partnership with the West to sell peppers, but to ensure its survival as a new state, especially in front of Serbia.

Now I don't want to deal with Albin Kurt's empty rhetoric, which at a meeting comes and reminds Europe of how this process should be done, and the next one does not come to see it without perspective but complains that he has not even received an invitation.

These are complex people's failures and we don't have why we're dealing with leaders.

The problem is that Kosovo is beginning to form an official stance against this process. Foreign Minister Donika Grovalla called on the European Union from Slovenia to halt this process a week ago.

This is a serious development, which isolates Kosovo and seriously damages it, and not the Berlin process, which these patriotic thinkers are calling the new Yugoslavia.

If there is a real danger for Kosovo today, it is for the flag of Europe and the US to take Serbia, and Kosovo to carry the Ottoman Empire flag at the Berlin Congress, which Albin Kurti seeks to become the topic of negotiations with Serbia.

If an honour is done to Serbia and an incalculable damage to Kosovo, it is for Serbia to be on a table set up by US Europe for regional process and Kosovo to be opposed to this process. And that's not because of the interest of Kosovo, but because of the desire for a narcissist leader at its helm, to stand out as a man who refuses the West.

All other theories of the “brain-patriotic”, for the dangers of a Western process in the region, are non-political psychiatric issues.

The problem in this process is very simple: Will Kosovo be at the table where the EU and the US wants it or it will be only Serbia. Other arguments are irrelevant.

Kosovo is officially rejecting this process, and this is Kosovo's first official uprising against The US and the EU, since 1999, when they freed him from Serbia. And this is political gesture, that practically the two countries with the biggest economic co-operation in the region, in all four columns are Serbia with Kosovo. This is the hypocrisy of a politician who acts as though he has come to power to change the US and the EU, not to govern Kosovo. And in the final, US Europe is leaving it to Serbia, and it is keeping Sali Berisha and some other idiot around. I don't think anyone ever did Serbia any greater honor than that. It is nearly as big as Milosevic's honour of Kosovo, rejecting the West and making Kosovo the greatest ally of the West. Albin Kurti himself is managing to change Western partnerships in the region, leaving the West as a gift to Serbia.
