Serbia suspected that Vuciq sends 600m euros to Serbs in Kosovo

People's Party (Narodna Stranka) deputy head of Serbia and former head of the Co-ordination Centre for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Sandra Raskoviq Iviq, has declared today that Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq's claim is not true that Serbia allocates 600m euros annually to Serbs in Kosovo. Raskovich Ivric has told the agency [...]
Raskoviq Ivric has told Beta agency that Vuciq often spreads in numbers when it comes to state money and that he now wants the citizens of Serbia to make the battle for Kosovo's preservation an abomination.
“Vucciq said this frightening 600m-euro figure at a news conference Saturday evening in order to show Serbia's citizens that Kosovo is a huge burden on which money is spent and thrown as an endless hole. If Serbia were to allocate so much money to Serbs in Kosovo, those people would live much better than they now live --”, Raskovic Iviq said.
According to her, if Serbs in Kosovo had received three billion euros in the past five years alone, as President Vuciq says, they would have lived with the highest standards in Europe and would not have emigrated from Kosovo.
So either the president is not telling the truth or stealing over and over without any sanctions. This money certainly does not reach ordinary citizens. It is not excluded that most of the money destined for Serbs in Kosovo will end up at various aunts in Canada and then return to Belgrade”, she said.
She stressed that as long as for many in power Kosovo is used for money laundering, the migration of Serbs occurs every day.
Serbia now shares much less money for Kosovo because the judiciary, police and local self-government have been handed over to authorities in Pristina. The 600m-euro figure could be justified if there were twice as many Serbs in Kosovo as they are today and if all were to receive salaries from Belgrade “, Raskovic Iviq concluded.
