Atlantic Association Albanians have asked the president of the United States, Joe Biden, to move the Special War Crimes Court from the Netherlands to Kosovo.
Through a letter, the chairman of this society, Ghani Shehu-his commander of The KLA has argued that this way the biggest damage to Kosovo would be reduced.
And for this request to the American president, Joe Biden has recently reported Euronews.
The report says Kosovo war veterans in mid 1998-1999 have written to President Biden, demanding the transfer of the Special Court from the Netherlands to Kosovo.
“Letra comes on the anniversary of NATO's intervention in the KLA-side conflict and against Slobodan Milosevic's forces on 24 March 1999. The letter to Gani Shehu reminds Beden that he once referred to Thaci as the George Washington of Kosovo”, says further in reporting, broadcasts news.net.
Report follows that Hashim Thaci was senior commander of KLA and Kosovo president until his resignation in November 2020.
He is charged with allegedly crimes against humanity and responsibility for at least 100 murders of Serbs, Roma and Albanians believed to be accomplices”.
The point is that Thaci has denied those charges.
And after that request addressed to the US president, Biden has also reacted to Hashim Thaci's former close associate, Bekim Colak.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unfortunately said: “Injustice everywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”. But in the case of Kosovo, we can say that “justice in the name of justice elsewhere is a set everywhere”. Please read the appal of Atlantic Association to the @POTUS Pic.twitter. com/bpiX7e M xJC
