The Foundation Court in Gjilan has approved Gjilan's Constitutional Prosecutor's request, assigning the detention measure of 30 (thirty) days to defendants B. R.
There is a doubt that the defendant from the illegal property benefit himself or the other has caused harm to the country's economy, respectively, by violating judicial security, because he has ignored a local law of authority and has wrongly organized, enabled or aided illegal activity, much more so when we consider that the same is a police official and is aware that any kind of organization of fortune games is illegal.
With these actions, defendant B. The R., allegedly committed criminal acts “organising pyramid schemes and illegal gambling” and “masquerading” works sanctioned with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).
The chief of the preliminary procedure at the General Department, after holding the hearing, with the goal of ensuring the normal conditions for the development of the criminal procedure has set the detention measure, considering that if the same is found in freedom it will hide, eliminate or influence witnesses.
The sides have the right to appeal to this decision at the Court of Appeals.
