The Constitutional Court had made the decision based on the Venice Commission's opinion that it would not allow the candidacy for deputies of any politician convicted in the past three years under the decision to oust the Hoti Government because of minority MP Etem Arifi's vote.
This decision affected Albin Kurti and Vetevendosje, among other things, over and over again, with reactions to the media.
But Abbott has also met Kurt and Rama-Hajriz today.
After meeting with the Constitutional Chairman, who has had much political pressure recently, Abbott has said that “have discussed the tribunal's recent decisions,” and that “has offered full support for ensuring the tribunal's independence and rule of the rule of law in Kosovo. ”
That's his full reaction:
Today I met Arta Rama-Hajriz, president of the Constitutional Court. We discussed the court's recent decisions and offered my support to ensure the independence of the Court and rule of law in Kosovo. /Periscope
