Paradoxical history in Kosovo: Dangerous thief roaming at large, police officers who arrested him were sentenced to prison and suspended from work

The arrest of two dangerouscidents, with dozens of criminal cases, for Monday's armed robbery in Prizren, where father and son, silversmiths who tried to commit theft were again turning attention to how Kosovo's <x0-> lame cause” in the security and justice system, [...]
Muhamer Raif, from Pristina, along with four other robbers allegedly on November 14th 2018 tried to rob a Bitabacco shop in Gjakova. Their attempt to rob the bar was interrupted in half by a police patrol that had arrived at the scene.
The robbers had left there quickly, with their car, but when the police were after them, the car of the four suspects was hit on the road at the city park.
Three of them had managed to leave, and only Muhamed Raif was caught by police patrol.
But Raif's criminal record in the police does not turn out to be recorded only this case. He was suspected and arrested for them at least about 60 other criminal cases, most of them as suspects of robbery and theft.
However, Raif today is free and no one is in pursuit of him.
The paradox of his entire story is that instead of being condemned by the robber, since he was captured by the Gjakova police, he went out to be armed and traded bullets with police, rather, Muhamar Raif managed to lead to punishment and temporary suspension from the work of those who cuffed him.
Four police officers from the Gjakova police station, along with the former police commander in this municipality, Christa Djokoj, in July of this year were sentenced to prison and, with their reconciliation, replaced with fines of money in case of the armed robber's arrest.
This, according to the prosecution, confirmed at the Court, that the five police officers -- including their former commander in Gjakova -- committed <x0... mishandled during the exercise of official duty or public authorisation”, to Muahmer Raif on the night of November 15, 2018, when he was arrested in the friggin and after a shootout with him.
There were even other effects on the former commander's work. After losing the station commander's position and for a long time he remained even suspended as a policeman.
Everything had started in October 2019, when images of Muahmer Raif mistreatment at the police station in Gjakova after being caught by police in a shootout with them after the armed robbery were published in a Kosovo media.
Word reporting concealed many facts. There Raif was represented as a simple citizen who was supposedly arrested by police “text as he was waiting for a friend in the Gjakova town park of” and then mistreated at the city police station.
Along with former commander Gjokaj, for his capture in Gjakova, of the armed robbers from Pristina, the legal and labour consequences had four other officers at the station -- Captain B. P., Sergeant G.B. and A.I. cops, M.U. and S.L.
The dangerous burglary, known as suspected of theft and robbery, in about 60 cases recorded in the police, is home to almost total criminal precedents in the Dukagjin region.
The Online Reporter.net has tried to get information about Raif in the Kosovo Police, but they have refused to give based on them on the “personal data protection law”.
“Based on the law on personal data protection, no information and the past on physical persons can be provided, unless justice organs value/require”, the police response is said.
The Online Reporter.net recently requested information about Raif even at the State Prosecutor's Court, but he has received no answers to the newspaper's questions and requests for information about him.
However, as if Muhamet Raif, until yesterday there have been two other dangerous robbers known for their exploits, known for years throughout Kosovo.
Leotrim Latifi and Ibrahim Qadraku yesterday were arrested along with a third person as suspected of Monday's armed robbery at a jewelry store in Prizren, where, in turn, there were two injured, father and son of a business owner.
The Sandrick Latif were also known names for the police. Those in the past were caught by security cameras stealing some of the biggest banks in the country. Yet, they roamed free.
Latifi had even been released this year from court custody, although for his capture, police three years ago paid cash.
