President's participation in UNMIK Reporting Security Council
Tomorrow at the UN Security Council, under the presidency of Kenya will be the reporting of UNMIK for the situation in Kosovo. Kosovo President Mrs. Vjosa Osmani has gone there to represent Kosovo. Too bad!
Mission UNMIK is based on 1999 Resolution 1244. This mission still recognises Serbia's jurisdiction over Kosovo and does not recognise Kosovo as an independent state. Despite the JND, the United Nations body, at Serbia's own request on July 22, 2010, has suggested that Kosovo's independence does not violate any international law or right.
Mission UNMIK after February 17, 2008, is a stupid mission, whose mandate has expired. This mission as such should be closed and replaced with Kosovo's state-owned regime with the UN.
Report of UNMIK at UNSC for the situation in Kosovo has begun since 1999 and 4 times a year. This frequency has continued until August 2018, where after my great personal commitment and strong support of Britain and the United States, it was cut to 3 times in 2018 and after 2019 only 2 reports a year.
In close communication with friends such as the US, Britain, France, Germany and other friends, by 2015 the level of Kosovo representation from the ministerial level to the ambassadorial level has been lowered, as a message that Resolution 1244, U n NMIC and UNSC reporting is expired, does not matter for the state of Kosovo, so the high state level does not participate. In collaboration with the same friends, representation has been lowered to the ambassador level, where Amb. Vlora Citaku has represented Kosovo, while Serbia is represented by the former Z. MPJ Dacic KM. For Serbia, keeping UNMIK in Kosovo and Resolution 1244 were of particular importance, which was positively reflected in high government representation.
Kosovo's friends at the UN proposed lowering even further Kosovo's level of representation, even under the ambassadorial one.
Unfortunately, the level was lifted when in April 2020 the Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Glauk Konjufca broke this practice by raising the representation level to that ministerial. The same damage was done by the following two ministries, Ms. Melza Haradinaj and Mrs. Donika Gervalla Schharz, who also maintains the level of Z. KM.
But with Kosovo's representation on the report of an expired mission with the Presidential level, Kosovo again puts it on pedestal U n NMIQuon and respect for Resolution 1244. Return P The SS as high authority in Kosovo's Chierarchy and underlines the democratic institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
If President Osmani is facing Serbia's MPJ tomorrow, it will be a degradation for Kosovo. If President Vuciz faces the front, then Resolution 1244 and mission UNMIK will restore its power and authority over Kosovo institutions.
President Osmani It has not been intended to go to NY to talk about UNMIK's report, the piece of paper about the state it represents.
