“Fight” hypocrite for the departure of Congressman Engell

Legendary Democrat Congressman in New York Eliot Engell gave his farewell speech from politics after retirement. He has had a special connection with the Albanian community in the US and has been vigorously engaged in the Kosovo issue since the 1990s.

With his departure I see a flood of congratulations and gratitude from Albanian politicians in Tirana and Pristina, posting photos with him and thanking him for his contribution to Albanians.

Most of those who wish it are actually the problem of Albanians in American politics, which neither Elliot Engell nor American politics solved.

His most impartial congratulations from Albania have been made by Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta. I'm not counting on Kastriot Islami, that he does it instinctively reading that Berisha did.

In fact, Eliot Engell was a sincere friend of Albanians, whom most Albanian politicians in Tirana and Pristina used to take photographs and appear pro-Americans. Eliot Engell was not someone they listened to and respected but someone they used.

In the 1995 crisis, when Berisha returned Congressman Tom Lantos from the border to Captice, for associating with Nicholas Gage, who was declared person <x0non grata”, he also refused and Congressman Engell's intervention in the matter.

In 1996, when he refused to meet with Deputy Secretary of State Timothy Worth, Mr. Berisha again turned down an Engell visit to Albania to convince him not to face American politics following the vote's theft on May 26th.

This is the typeology of bringing all Albanian and Kosovo politicians to Engelli.

He was a wise politician, useful to Albanians who really wanted the US, but not to Albanians who wanted to use the US.

All of these people who make it look as if Eliot Engell was dead, are not Albanians who honour Engjell as an American pro-Albanian congresswoman, but are Albanians who have escaped a man with whom they took pictures in Washington and lied to Albanians here.

Elliot Engell didn't refuse anyone. He could travel der to Michigan if 20 Albanians called him at a meeting. He could meet anyone and listen to everyone.

But Albanian politicians didn't want to hear it, but to be photographed and filled up their deficits in Tirana, to look like pro-Americans. So today no one has anything to tell about it except the photographs.

He was the right politician for them, since he did not humiliate them publicly or refuse them but simply let them use it.

So today, all of those who have had problems with the United States as politicians, all of those who have paid millions to look like pro-Americans, are crying and for Eliot Engell, because he had free photos, and every time nobody in the United States expected them to have a picture of Congress coffee.

Now he left Congress. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. They were just finding Fatmir Mediu on the streets to introduce an American who looks like a Congressman.
