Yesterday afternoon, President Trump's cynical and strong efforts to steal the 2020 elections and destroy American democracy ended predictablely in tragedy and terror, while an armed mob of protesters attacked the US Capitol and invaded it for several hours.
The ceremonial counting of the electoral vote (and the debate over those votes imposed by the rebel Republicans) was halted and both of the Chambers of Congress went to a break when the terrified members of Congress and their staff were forced to hide as students in a formidable scenario with bombers.
All this was the inevitable result of President Trump's flaming rhetoric and his several-month plot to organise a coup. It must be removed from office through the 25th or impechment amendment in the fastest possible case.
Two more weeks on duty are too much to give this maniac, his army of Confederacy associates and his pro-authorial allies in Congress.
If we do not want to see this country sink further into sclerotic violence and civic madness, a bilateral effort must be made to end the Trump presidency and start the process of rooting out what can only be described as an internal uprising. / The Week World.al
