The Central Election Commission in Kosovo ruled out Albin Kurti and 46 other MPs, from the right to run, following the verification that made the lists submitted by political parties.
Albin Kurti and two other candidates of “Determination” have been expelled, as they result in condemnation by the Court in Kosovo for criminal acts that prevent them from running three years after the conviction was lifted.
The Constitutional Court's decision specifying this is the product of a lawsuit by “vendosje”, through which she accused an MP taking part in forming government “Hoti” and who had been convicted as Kurti.
The court brought down the government “Hoti”, but at the same time that sentence is valid for Albin Kurti and two other “Determination candidate”.
Everything's fine up here.
What is disturbing involves Albin Kurt's reaction to that decision.
In an official statement, he said “State institutions should follow the will of the self-aware people as never before in post-war Kosovo, rather than facing that”.
This is probably the most serious statement a political leader made on the road to power. The prime ministers who are confident of victory usually speak of a righteous state, strong institutions, justice for all, and honest government.
Albin Kurti is the first union for prime minister to appear to have the majority safe, but threatening state institutions that will be prime minister, to submit to him, not the law.
His statement that the “state institutions should follow the will of the people” is similar to any statement and reasoning of communists or fascists, from Hitler's Mussolini to Enver Hoxha and Tito, who looked at the full problem of taking power, institutions such as the Court, Parliament, Central Bank, or any other institution that should maintain balances in one state.
Albin Kurti has openly demonstrated his will that the state there already has to kneel down and must do what he says and wants, not what the law says.
For Albin Kurti, the Constitutional Court is good and beneficial, only when it breaks down its opponent's government, but not when it leaves it out of the race as convicted of committing criminal acts.
For him, Parliament is an enemy and must kneel with smoke bombs and tear gas, when you are in opposition, and then you must stand up to Albin and maintain order, when it is most of it.
For the Banks in Kosovo, after this one comes to power, they must lend on its order, as in Tito's time, “for workers and villagers”, not according to financial laws and logic.
This statement is evidence that at the head of Kosovo someone is coming who thinks everyone should kneel before him, and say “na pri” on behalf of your will.
I know that all of them are now euphoria about his victory, and these statements of his, they look crazy, and this is my script “reactor”.
But the bad luck is that the elections are less than a month and those waiting for the “collapse of the state” will be faced very quickly according to this logic of the leader, with the state kneeling before his power. The day is coming...
