An Argentinian firm thinks of using a formula to produce hundreds of millions of doses at a price of only $3 each. The Argentinian company “Abxience” along with the British pharmaceutical company “AstraZeneca” are hoping to produce 400 million doses to distribute the continent within April or May 2021.
More than 30 vaccines are in clinical testing phase, but British vaccine and American company candidate “Modernna” are considered the most advanced by experts. According to them, to create the herd's immunity, 68 per cent of the population will be needed, while returning to normality without social distance rules or masks is not believed to be possible until autumn 2021.
