Deep regret over Turkish authorities' decision, taken without preliminary discussions, to change St Sofia's status from museum to mosque, following a Turkish court ruling published by President Recep Tayip Erdogan, said in a U report. NESTO.
“Shan Sofia is an architectural masterpiece and a unique testimony to the interactions between Europe and Asia over the centuries. The Turkish court cancelled yesterday a November 24, 1934, ruling that the St Sofia Mosque was transformed into museums, reports ATS.
Meanwhile, Turkish presidency spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said St. Sofia would continue to be part of the world heritage and open to visitors.
