Many snobce people have long known why the KLA was no longer ostensibly acceptable and more urban. So there have long been privileged people in this system of things understanding how Kosovo was freed. Why did the KLA not have other leaders, soldiers and other organisation. It's the usual dress for the taste of high-class people against the poor rural class that belonged to most leaders and soldiers. It's understandable to an urbanized society. But unacceptable and deserving to be severely challenged.
The KLA changed the collective character of Albanians. As his hand removed all that filthy, snooping pussy with which he lived in comfortable humiliation, insults, and beatings, with brutally violated rights. In a miserable comfort. The NLA cannot be understood by someone who has no idea of the social character of Albanians during the '80s and '90s. From someone who was connected to that fate. Not all Albanians were oppressed. And it wasn't all the oppressive Serbs.
The KLA was the only time when the poorest and most discriminated Kosovars of society were fighting for their honour and dignity. The first time when some non-stars who had nothing to defend feared to go against oppression, inequality, injustice and fascism. And the first time that the discurs suppressed by action overturned inconsistent bullshit that stole the voice of the oppressed in the name of their defense. The only time the poor took their fate. The enemy was not necessarily a Serb. The enemy was the entire existing structure, with Albanians and Serbs. All people, one way or another, legitimized the then regime. That is the truth that is being suppressed, since it was silenced even by KLA representatives themselves.
Most Kosovo society was then surprised with the KLA. She was surprised at the war. And she was surprised that there was a chance to be released.
This army was the only left move that Kosovars produced so far. The only thing that wasn't all molten in symbolic, logo, beautiful bullshit and nationalism. The only thing that worked organicly. Look at today's left parties. Not only in Kosovo but also in Albania. They're all more interrelated than right-wing parties themselves with the poor rural class of society, and therefore, they're getting confused and ending up in nationalism. Each is more ungrateful than the other. The KLA overturned that contempt that was the product of that value system. A contempt that has since returned to power in the last five years. I seriously believe that classy character of The KLA was far more powerful than the nationalist character. This was testified even with the violation of the so-called “KLA's commitment” expressing the application for the National Union. Freedom, equality, and democracy were actually the ultimate goals of that war.
Establishing charges against Thaci and Wessel made a large part of the people see and experience such a thing as a stain and attack on the KLA. An attack carried out from abroad that was tarnishing the image of the KLA, Kosovo, just outside the country. But, I think these charges will not actually tarnish the KLA image outside Kosovo. However, from those purples of all discours on the KLA in the last ten years, image The KLA will be damaged right inside Kosovo. Because, Kosovo now sees itself in the mirror with other people's eyes being in an abnormal mess to swallow without seeing Western values.
The NLA is no doubt beyond Thaci and Wessel. But the trap set by people with a tendency to bring down the KLA lies precisely in the NLA connection with the fate of these two politicians, or even other politicians in the past and in the future. They say, this is the KLA, rewriteing the story about it.
The Special Court does not mean that crimes committed by the Milosevic regime did not exist. It doesn't mean we lied about murder, rape, property destruction and deportation. Nor does the KLA war mean that it was unfair and criminal. Kosovars will say it.
