Albin Kurti as war killings lawyer and opponent of Hashim

If there is anything contradictory today in Kosovo's history about the political stance held against the dark shadows of war and political killings, it is Vetevendosje's political stance and Albin Kurti.

Albin Kurti was a supporter of the war without being at war. Without wanting to describe his biography of those years, I would like to point out that the things Hashim Thaci and his friends are accused of, mostly concerned with evidence received for political murder, or deliberate sweeps outside the field of war, in the period of post-war anarchy.

There have been parties and individuals in Kosovo who have objected to the timing of these disasters. There's only a few journalists. The LDK was one of these parties that have rejected the killings and denounced them.

The undirected but obviously politically motivated murders against several local LDK leaders put the LDK in a cold fight with the <x0-wing war”.

In the post-war chaos of 1999, until 2000, Kosovo was neither in the power of KLA, nor UNMIK, nor any government, but in the power of an anarchy and <x0 24, witch warfare”.

All you had to do was raise your voice and punish the murders if you dared.

Those who have done so in Kosovo have written statements. Little who did it in Albania.

But more clearly are those who never did. And this is Albin Kurti and “Replace”. This party never condemned the political killings in Kosovo, and it evidently seemed that anger with other factions that were torn out of the war, why they had not killed more.

The chairman of the <x0vendosje Parliamentary Group”, Rexhep Selimi, has been omnipresent with Hashim Thaci and other KLA leaders at the time the charges conflicted. I don't know what he may have said as a witness in The Hague, but I know this man was the minister of the 1999-2000 interim government when most of these murders occurred. In that powerless government, the interior minister was actually “Gestpo” political.

I am obsessed with it as a journalist, as being very critical of my writings about the killings at the time, he had complained to a senior DP official in Albania during a lunch at the “Piaca” in Tirana.

Now this man who led the underground political arm of the KLA leads the Parliamentary Group of “Vetevendosje”, and continues to defend what he has done in those years.

Neither he, but, above all, “Movement” never did anything politically against that period. Albin Kurti has even denigrated Ibrahim Rugova, and only when he was calling on the LDK for power, did he take some puzzled and uncertain steps about accepting his contribution.

Now “Vetevendosje” I heard that Edi Rama has gone to Kosovo to protect Hashim Thaci.

Yeah, well, maybe he went and protected President Hashim Thaci in 2020, but the biggest lawyer on charges brought to Hashim Thaci and his friends is “Vevendosje”.

Thaci's PDK, Haradinaj's AAK, etc., has reflected against the killings, at least with political statements. “Movement” and Albin Kurti are among the biggest lawyers of that period, as they have not yet distanced themselves from them.

So is their theory about the Kosovo Special Court.

They have not voted it out, they say they do not recognise it, criticise Hashim Thaci for voting, while now they tell him why he does not resign, that the special prosecutor accused you.

Hashim Tahci has provided his explanations for the steps he will take, but “vendosje” does not have to account for the reports he decides with a court, which they do not know.

This shows how false opposition has been to the Special Court and how unstable they are in their attitude toward the past. They only have people and not phenomena in Kosovo.

Albin Kurti and “Determination” is the unique case when they agree with the phenomenon of political murders, but they want at the same time to punish some of their opponents, not them.

Therefore they are both war-killers, as well as opponents of Hashim Thaci. You know what they are.
