AGK strongly condemns threat to journalist Shkumbin Kaitazi

April 14,06,2020 ) The Association of Journalists Kosovo, with concern, has received news that it has attempted to burn the journalist's car, Shkumbin Kaitazi.

Catetically through a post in his Facebook account, it has revealed that last night on “Evlia Celebia” in Mitrovica, a person had attempted to burn his car with gasoline. This act, according to the journalist, has prevented residents of this road, who had also announced the Kosovo Police.

According to Cathazi, The KK has provided a video footage of the headship, and so has Forenzica, found on the scene the bottle from which the gas was spilled.

The AGK has immediately sent questions to the Kosovo Police to get more information on this case.

The AGK is required by justice bodies to urgently investigate the motives of the attack and the chief officer of this act to be brought to justice.

Such threats to the Association of Journalists Kosovo is completely unacceptable, which seriously violate freedom of expression and jeopardise the climate of making journalism in Kosovo.
