The Kosovo government, led by Avdullah Hoti, is holding the first regular meeting.
Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said his governance priorities, and economic recovery behind it stand first on the list.
The second priority is economic recovery, where we have short-term measures for economic recovery after pandemic, and then long-term measures. These measures include reducing the tax burden to enable businesses to cope. There are also some measures to help the family budget on the Pension Trust. We will also review the budget to create the fund for economic recovery, to introduce the 1.2 billion-euro fund. The sources of funding of 1.2 billion euros are in detail. For the entire governing mandate, we have institutional reforms, starting with the new law on government, as well as the new law on companies”, Hoti said.
Hoti also said his government would be incompatible in the fight against corruption.
He added that his government would also engage in improving the election process in Kosovo.
“We will engage in improving the election process. We will also take care of some marginalised groups of society”, Hoti said.
Also in the agenda is the adoption of the government programme, which is expected to be voted in later.
