No wonder the American public and their elected officials have focused their energies on these internal challenges. The problem is, there's a lot going on in the world that requires America's attention and they're not taking it.

The United States is facing several challenges simultaneously. It's the pandemic of COVID-19, which so far has claimed nearly 120,000 lives and shows a few signs of improvement in many large areas of the country. The economic impact of pandemic has been devastating, with some 40 million people currently unemployed, and the Federal Reserve predicts many will remain unemployed for an extended period.

In addition, there is a huge wave of protests following the murder of George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American, in the hands of more precisely, on the knee of a police officer in Minneapolis. Protests, which have extended the country, highlighted not only the stable problem of deep racism in the United States but also the behavior of police, which is very often violent and not based on the law they have vowed to implement.

No wonder the American public and their elected officials have focused their energies on these internal challenges. The problem is, there's a lot going on in the world that requires America's attention and they're not taking it.

Worse still, the attention American President Donald Trump's administration is giving to the world is completely wrong: The Threat of Attraction about a third of the American Armed Forces deployed in Germany and all in Afghanistan, as well as the announcement of American evacuation from World Health Organization Convert EOL to LF agreement known as the “Open Skies”. The result is an increase of concern among America's allies about its credibility.

Meanwhile, some problems worldwide are getting worse. Last month, China adopted a security law for Hong Kong that envisions the end of the “one country agreement, two” systems China accepted when it regained sovereignty in 1997. A sharp blow to the former British Colonel seems to be just a matter of time. China has also acted with conviction along its disputed border with India and using a harsher rhetoric regarding Taiwan.

Moreover, North Korea is just announced that will cut off all communications lines including the South Korea military lines, raising new questions about stability along the most armed border in the world. The country followed this step with one Declaration who rejected diplomacy with the United States and vowed instead to increase its nuclear arsenal. The bottom line is that North Korea boasts more nuclear weapons and more ballistic (improved) missiles than there were prior to meetings between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong.

Iran is also becoming a nuclear concern again. International Atomic Energy Agency Just reported that he has refused to cooperate with inspectors investigating reports of uncalculated nuclear materials.

Meanwhile, Iran's enriched uranium stock, though still at a level of purity much lower than is necessary to produce weapons, has increased by 50% For the past few months. The country now has about seven times the amount allowed under the 2015 nuclear agreement it signed with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, Germany and the European Union.

Somewhere else in the Middle East, there is a high chance that Israel, with American encouragement and support, will annex parts of the West Coast. Doing so may put an end to any kind of hope, however little, of the existence of a Palestinian state. Anexience could also undermine stability in Jordan and the Israeli-Jordan peace treaty. And this could jeopardise Israel's future as a democratic and Jewish state. Israel may have one or the other, but both if it continues by annexing.

Increasing conflict is not the only danger facing the world. Brazil has emerged as a major obstacle to fighting climate change, which may become the international challenge of this century. Under the leadership of President Jair Bolsonaro, destruction of Amazon tropical forests It's accelerating.. This is important because tropical forests absorb a considerable amount of the world's carbon dioxide and affect world weather. As these tropical forests are cut or burned, the rate of climate change will increase, damaging the planet and all those living on it.

Brazil's irresponsability is to some extent a by - product of domestic unrest in the country, due to a rapid development of COVID-19 outbreak and populist politics. Unfortunately, this is not the only case. Pandemia is also tough in Mexico, Iran, Egypt, Russia and Bangladesh, reflecting inadequate public health systems, poor leadership, or both.

Fortunately, not all news is bad. Perhaps the most promising development is in Europe, where the European Commission and the European Central Bank, with the support of France and Germany, are taking steps to help countries seriously affected by the pandemic to get through and recover from the economic crisis. This is a welcome sign that in the course of Brex, the European Union is showing co-operation and determination to make a difference.

But this positive development is the exception that proves the rule. Despite the backdrop of worsening relations between the United States and China and Russia, a host of regional and global challenges are increasing. America is less capable and willing to address these challenges. Its partners and allies lack the power to do so themselves, and China offers a model and an agenda that few see as attractive. We can only hope the United States will solve its problems itself as soon as possible. History has no pause.
