Former National Security Adviser John Bolton, of US President Donald Trump, who has received great attention for his book in recent days until passages or parts of this book were discovered for various details and events within the White House.
And one of the pieces that got a lot of attention was when Bolton showed how Trump, who had problems with journalists constantly, accusing them of making” false news”, and having been declared war often, had said that journalists should be executed, even contacted the Department of Justice to discuss whether the detention of journalists would be possible.
Fox Nese, took part of this book, which has not yet been issued publicly, and the Trump administration has taken steps to block the publication of this book, claiming it contains confidential information.
In the book, Bolton said Trump's comments about reporters came in the middle of a meeting to discuss the Afghanistan issue.
“While the discussion continued, Trump said in a moment, Making a bad deal is worse than going out. I wouldn't make a deal. ” I thought this comment provided a light of hope,” wrote Bolton. “But before we went too far, Trump moved back to complain, including what CNN had reported earlier. ”
“These people must be executed, they are fraud,” he said, Bolton wrote.
This led to one of Trump's favorite legal games, namely, for the Justice Department to arrest reporters, force them to suffer time in prison and then ask them to reveal their resources. That's the only way to stop these” news.
“Trump told White House Adviser Pat Cipolone to call Barr for him, whom Cypolone said he would,” wrote Bolton, adding that Trump then returned to Afghanistan's topic.
The Justice Department is seeking an urgent order to prevent the publication of Bolton's book, saying he had deliberately bypassed the process of reviewing the necessary classification and that his manuscript still contains classified information.
Bolton served as national security adviser from 2018 to 2019 and was ambassador of the United States to the United Nations to George W. Bush.
Bolton also accused Trump, during an interview for ABC News, that he was more focused on winning the November elections than American interests.
I don't think he's fit for office. I don't think he has the competence to do the job, “said Bolton. There is actually no guiding principle that I could tell, except what's good for the re-election of Donald Trump. ”
