We remember that today it has become known that Kurti's outgoing government has sent a letter to members of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, where they have announced the situation in Kosovo regarding the motion of no confidence in the government and President Thaci's decree to mandate the new LDK-led government.
In this letter sent to the EP's Foreign Affairs Committee, the government of Albin Kurti has complained that following the motion of no confidence in the government on 25 March 2020, President Thaci has failed to act on his constitutional duty, which the iCE defines Article 82.2. The Constitution of Kosovo to disperse the Assembly and proclaim new elections.
“President Thaci has taken an active role with his attempt to form new governments, even though such a role is explicitly prohibited by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo trial”, it is said in the letter the Express has secured.
In addition to the letter, President Thaci's move by exploiting the pandemic with Covid-19 supported by several political parties took certain actions that attempted to improvise an unconstitutional scheme.
“With the reasoning that there are no conditions allowing the organisation of elections, the president, supported by several political parties, took a series of actions with which they have tried to improvise an anti-unconstitutional scheme”, is said to be further.
