KMDLNJ has demanded that the circumstances of the death of 26-year-old of the Gnjilan municipality, which passed away yesterday.
Through a media communiqué by KMDLNJ, they have claimed that persons who are quarantined against their will are considered persons deprived of freedom as long as quarantine lasts.
“KMDLNj asks the State Prosecutor to make investigations into the concrete case of the fact that because of institutional irresponsibly, a young man has lost his life. This tragedy has been inevitable if responsible institutions do not implement double standards, someone violent is placed in quarantine, and the other is sent home because of the status in society. The State Prosecutor must investigate all cases where there are allegedly double standards that are being applied and talk of as a public secrecy. The KMDLNj requires that this tragic case be not misused for political benefit, but to solidify with the Musliu family by looking for and insisting that the responsibility be brought to justice and receive due punishment. Agon Musliu has been denied basic human right -- the right to life in which austerity measures have been imposed -- and that the Constitutional Court of Kosovo has decided they are contrary to the Constitution and human rights.
KMDLNj requires that quarantine measures be reviewed by allowing these measures to be implemented in family environments or, in serious cases of health, then must be sent to health institutions”, it is in response.
