This decision marks a major step of reopening the economy in the country after more than two months of isolation.
Italy has scored one of the largest numbers of victims in the world, but the number of infected people has dropped dramatically in recent days.
More than 31,600 people have lost their lives from the virus in Italy. The United States and Britain have scored the largest number of victims.
Italy was the first country in Europe to start with isolation measures in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, but began to relax these measures on May 4th, with the opening of several factories and parks.
Shops and restaurants are expected to open on May 18th, with mandatory social distance.
Believers of the Catholic Church will also return from Monday but with increased protection from the virus.
