Eset Berisha became known for signing the agreement for the Pristina airline, Belgrade. The agreement signed on January 20th this year in Berlin was initiated and mediated by American administration, respectively, President Trump's special envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Richard Green.
The deal envisions that through airline, the free movement of citizens and goods is possible even through air transport.
US President Donald Trump himself had considered this agreement signed in Berlin by Pristina and Belgrade as victorious.
Everybody said it couldn't be done. But, for the first time in a generation, there will be direct flights between Serbia and Kosovo. Another” victory, President Trump wrote.
At the time, a debate had been opened over whether Prime Minister Kurti had been informed of the deal. Mr. Berisha, in a proposal for Kalxo.com, had declared that he did not support the prime minister, and that such an agreement could not be reached.
“Of course they were informed (the prime minister and president) because without such support we would not be able to sign such a letter of interest”, Berisha had declared for Calco.
Meanwhile Kurti, in a proposal for Voice of America, had declared:
“We have read that expression of interest, which has been published, and of course we will treat it as the government of the Republic of Kosovo and with relevant authorities because this is where the Civil Aviation Agency in Kosovo, the Pristina International Airport, enters, KFOR, etc., and after a analysis we're going to do this we're sure to see how we can best get ahead of”. /Periscope.
