Chairman The PDK, Kasri Veselini, has called on institutions responsible for conducting as many tests as possible in order to identify and treat all persons infected with coronavirus.
He said the period of isolation doesn't make sense unless accompanied by massive tests to find as many cases as possible to handle.
Wessel has written on his Facebook page that any further delay in testing will cost us very much, not only in human lives, but also incalculable economic damage.
Kadri Wessel's full statement:
Today I visited the “Elkos” factory in Pec, where I discussed the current economic problems and talked about the rescue package and the economic recovery it proposed. PDK. I am glad that this company continues to produce while employees are fully implementing safeguard clauses. But it must be as soon as other private companies can get back to work so that our economy can be restored. So we urgently need a comprehensive test campaign to identify those infected as soon as possible so that we can isolate them to care properly for them.
We have repeated many times last month, the need for more tests as O recommendation BSH's but also an experience of countries that have succeeded in fighting the pandemic. The Kosovo government is still maintaining a very low level of testing compared to other European countries. This whole period of isolation makes sense if this time is used to test massively to identify even those who do not show symptoms. Any further delay in testing will cost us a high price not only in human lives but also incalculable economic damage.
