Sweden takes over the A.H. trial. arrest suspect in Prizren

Prizren Prosecutor's spokeswoman Victory Mehmeti has told Gazeta Express that in the absence of any international judicial co-operation agreement in the middle of the Republic of Kosovo, Swedish authorities have announced that the extradition of Cifi Hadri's son is not possible.

Since the defendant in question is Swedish citizens and that in the absence of any bilateral international judicial co-operation agreement, extraditions between the Republic of Kosovo and Sweden, respectively, and that Swedish authorities on the basis of their legislation in effect do not allow extradition for their citizens, then have announced to us beforehand that the eventual extradition of the defendants is not possible due to these procedures, Mehmeti has said.
Mehmeti has indicated that Prizren's Constitutional Prosecutor has submitted calls for the transfer of criminal procedure from the Republic of Kosovo to Sweden and that this request has already been approved.
“Aday, under these circumstances, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren through the Department of International Jury Co-operation under the Ministry of Justice, has filed a request for the transfer of criminal procedure against defendants A.H., from the Republic of Kosovo to the Swedish Republic, which has even been approved by Swedish authorities”, she has declared.
With the approval of such a request, criminal proceedings against Hadri will now be conducted by Swedish authorities.
